Creative Commons Meetup
Date: 30/06/2011
Kiwis interested in Free Culture and Creative Commons are invited to come to the Auckland Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand Meetup in June. Whether you are a teacher, student, employee, creator or innovator, come along and learn about the licences, ask questions, meet others from a range of sectors using Creative Commons and help shape a Creative Commons Roadmap going forward.
THURSDAY 30 June 2011, 5.30-6.30pm at NetHui 2011, SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland
At this free meetup:
- You’ll be hearing from Albany Senior High School about how they have built the licences into their school policy and everyday teaching practices.
- The ‘People in Your Neighbourhood’ project will demonstrate how they have been combining aspiring artists from diverse communities together with the best of contemporary UK talent – to collaborate and create CC licensed music.
- A representative from ‘Mix and Mash: the great NZ remix and mashup competition’ will show us how they reward innovative reuse of openly licensed New Zealand data and content and tell us about the upcoming Mix and Mash 2011.
Creative Commons Aotearoa New Zealand is keen to hear about your CC experiences, and to support you moving forward. If you’re interested in coming along, please email admin@creativecommons.org.nz [Location of venue].
